Lark Transport Inc. is proud to be a Canadian based freight transportation company. That’s why we chose the unique Canadian flavor of the red maple leaf to form the dominant feature in our logo. The company letters, formed in the shape of a highway, indicate that we are ready to go down any road to meet the transportation needs of our customers. The opening to the highway, at the bottom right hand corner of the letters, indicates this company is open for business and ready to hit the road. Like the lines on the highway are there to guide you into the distance, Lark Transport is ready and equipped for the future.

Reynold Plett, as a teenager, had a vision of establishing a trucking company. In 1993, after operating as an owner operator for over 10 years, he began applying for his own operating authorities. Later that year his one truck company began hauling refrigerated freight throughout Western Canada. More importantly, he began building a solid customer base. As our customer base continues to grow, we are proud of the fact that many of those first customers are still with us today. As we continue to build our fleet, we will continue to improve our ability to meet the needs of both our existing customers as well as new customers.

As a family man, Reynold wanted to create a company that would be centered on family values and unwavering integrity. He knows what its like to spend many hours on the road, away from home and away from his family. That’s why today, as the company’s President, he takes all necessary steps to ensure drivers get sufficient time off to spend at home with their families. His commitment to family values really came forward when he first named his company. He incorporated the first letter of each family member’s name into the company’s name. Because of that, his daughter Lori, wife Anna, Reynold, and son Kevin will have a permanent place in this company’s history as part of the company’s name “LARK.”

From our qualified and experienced dispatchers and administrative staff to our fine group of professionals operating our trucks we take pride in a job well done.
